Photo of A Young Woman – Taking Care Of Her 98 Year Old Grandmother

Most of us are preparing for our future. Even if you are financially prepared you should also prepare that someone or those who will take care of you.

Good thing that the Filipino Culture is to take care of what we call Family. No matter how hard life could be they’ll still hold to each other. They believe that if they stay together they can surpass any challenges in life.

Even if they have families of their own sometimes they still live with their parents.

According to Jen Ampler’s Post

(“Now you are 98 years old. Let us do the things you did for us. Just a while ago, I helped you stand up and asked you to walk. You told me you couldn’t.”)

I love you dami ko luha inang.”

(“We love you so very much. You need to regain your strength, my grandma…We will never ever let you feel neglected, especially now that you are old. You can’t even feed yourself, bathe on your own, you can no longer walk. Let us be your hands and feet. We can never repay all your sacrifices for us…I love you. I am crying so much, grandma.”)

They feed her cause she can’t handle a spoon and fork. They bathe her cause she can’t wash. But these things they do for her are because of their unconditional love for their grandma.

We all pray that when we grew old there would be someone who will do these things for us. As early as now you give your unconditional love to your children or to someone you think will take care of you in the future.
