FOOD ON SOCIAL MEDIA: DID IT REALLY HAPPEN?

Social Media is a platform where we usually post our photos, status, events and etc. You’ll notice that if you post a status on Facebook without the photo you ate. It is either no like or comments on your Facebook Post.

Most SmartPhone users post pictures of their food online before they have tasted it. They take the photo or a selfie, adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation, upload it to their social media. Even our tradition as Filipino to pray first before eating has taken over by Instagram Craze.

Food On Social Media: Did it really happen? Lifestyle Viral I took a photo of my food because I want to create memories with it. Another reason is that I want to introduce my followers to new venues, menu options, and wonderful presentations. Showing what I eat on social media may convince my friends to eat with me. Especially if they know how cheap and delicious it was.

I bet that you post photos before you drink your coffee or eat breakfast in a cafe. I’d like to bet as well that you take photos before you eat lunch in a restaurant. You influence other people to be in that cafe or in that restaurant to experience the ambiance, to taste the food and to feel what it’s like to be you.

There are foods that look good on Instagram but it doesn’t taste good in real life. There could be hundreds of them lying with their looks but when you try it. You don’t want to eat that food again.

At the end of the day, it is still up to you who will decide where you want to eat and what you want to post.
